Sculpt Aesthetics are delighted to introduce its new sister company, Sculpt Women’s Health.
Established by our Managing Director, Jemma Knox, Sculpt Women’s Health will focus on providing women with a range of tailored weight loss, health, nutrition and wellbeing plans together with one-to-one personal training needs.
The new company will complement the portfolio of Sculpt Aesthetics treatments to ensure that results from body and face treatments are maximised and sustained.
Sculpt Women’s Health has been created following increased demand from current clients together with a huge passion from Jemma who understands the needs of focused health and wellbeing practices relevant to women’s health.
Talking about her passion behind the creation of Sculpt Women’s Health, Jemma said: “I’m a firm believer that if people are educated in how to eat and train, they will never look back.
“Clever advertising of well-known fad diets means that people never get off the yo-yo train!
“The lifestyle I teach people to lead promotes realistic lifelong changes that means you can go on holiday, enjoy Christmas and have a good social life without worrying about putting weight on or feeling guilty for enjoying life.
“I absolutely love seeing women transform! The small changes we implement together makes such a huge difference to all my ladies’ lives.
“Feeling tired all the time, getting ill frequently, insomnia and depression fade into the past so quickly that you’ll hardly believe you ever suffered in the first place.”
Like many women I have faced the difficulties of leading an active, healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Juggling work & Motherhood, fluctuating hormones, weight gain and diet have all been hurdles. But at the same time, each of these have acted as inspiration and motivation towards setting up Sculpt Aesthetics and more recently Sculpt Women’s Health.
If you’ve got a quick five minutes, check out my story.
“Sleep, Ride, Eat, Repeat…..”
Growing up as a professional showjumper meant maintaining my weight was straightforward.
Picked for the Great Britain squad at the age of 17 made for an enjoyable end to my teenage years. I got to pursue my number one passion as my full-time job! I mean, which other College girls could say that?
Travelling around Europe in the pursuit of silverware was great fun! But country hopping didn’t always lend itself to a balanced lifestyle. With the main focus on performing at the highest level, jumping from hotel room to hotel room often led to a make-shift diet to say the least.
The only saving grace was that I was young and extremely active, keeping 12 horses fit and ready to compete certainly burned a lot of calories.
“Being a Mummy”
After years of competing, training and selling horses – along came something worth giving everything up for – my daughter, Holly.
Like most ladies, pregnancy wasn’t all too kind to me. I somehow managed to put on five stone. Yes, five stone. Not to mention a helter-skelter of hormones deciding to make future weightloss all the more difficult!
After Holly’s birth I tried all sorts to drop the weight. Well known diet clubs, quick win diet plans, shakes, intense gym programmes – you name it, I tried it.
Everything seemed painstakingly difficult and progress was slow. You know the script, lose three pounds and put on two pounds.
Don’t get me wrong, I did managed to lose around two stone but nothing seemed sustainable.
For years I was having a constant duel with my weight – a tug of war between healthy and unhealthy.
Little did I know the main reason for my struggles was simply down to education.
Something had to change.
The Penny Drops…
Fast forward six years and the telephone rings.
I’d been invited to compete at an international show! Competing with four horses, over a six week period, in Portugal.
I jumped at the opportunity…but there were a few slight problems.
- I was three stone overweight
- I’d just six months to get in shape!
I knew that a flash in the pan diet or some quick cardio wouldn’t cut it. I’d been trying this for six years!
I needed to change my way of life! Flip my diet on its head. Make more time for exercise. Educate myself on nutrition. Change my mindset. Create a new lifestyle.
That’s when I met my training mentor, Kieron. I embraced clean eating, worked at an agreed fitness programme and witnessed a truly transformational change both physically and mentally.
Six months down the line I’d lost three stone (for good), had enough energy to run a marathon and was in the best shape of my life to return to competition. But, most importantly, it was sustainable.
It wasn’t rocket science, just a few step changes – some much needed education and an arm around my shoulder to help me along the way.
Since then I’ve spent the last 5 years living a healthy and active lifestyle. In fact, I felt so passionate about it all, I set up the first of my two companies.
Freeze to Fibroblast
At the age of 29, I knew I wanted to help women find their confidence – that’s when I set up Sculpt Aesthetics!
I knew 3D Lipo Fat Freeze was quickly becoming known for its fat reduction results! So after much research and a visit to London to try the treatment for myself, I decided this was the treatment to launch Sculpt Aesthetics. Now I could start to help women achieve their goals, making us the first clinic in the North to offer non-surgical alternatives.
To cut a long story short, the last four years have been a whirlwind! We now offer a suite of body and facial treatments and a specialist range of Alumier MD skincare products.
But with over 3,000 clients having passed through our doors, the main trend is that clients often need help beyond their treatment. This is the bit I LOVE!
Yes, the treatments work great and gain exceptional results…but I want the results to last a lifetime. The reason most clients are with us in the first place is because they have put on weight. Unless your lifestyle changes, you’re inevitably going to put the weight back on.
That’s when I decided I wanted to combine my personal training, lifestyle and nutrition qualifications to help make a real difference to other women…like I did myself.
Sculpt Women’s Health
So…why Sculpt Women’s Health?
As you can see from my story, weight control and leading a healthy lifestyle hasn’t come easily.
I understand the struggles that most women go through and the pitfalls along the way. But we’ve got to remember that our body is our most important tool and we have to take good care of it.
I could cry when I see or hear about other women who look down on themselves, who lack energy and are stuck on the hamster wheel of everyday life.
Remember, I’ve been there! I’ve experienced being an overweight mum who felt anxious about any social event, or about having to wear a dress or a bikini.
Now I see myself as a super fit, yummy mummy, who can’t wait to get a dress and heels on!
I love every single day of my life! I enjoy having great fun with my family and friends, enjoy building my business bigger than I ever imagined, enjoy running marathons and most importantly enjoy being the best mum I can be.
And one more thing…I can’t remember the last time I was ill! Since leading an active lifestyle, I’ve been able to beat the constant rollercoaster of colds & bugs.
Combining my experiences, knowledge of the industry and my qualifications – I know that I’m in just the right place to other ladies who feel as though they’ve shared a similar experience to me.
Already I’ve built up a nice little group of clients but now’s the time to shout about my services
Some of the services I provide on line and in person include:
- Nutritional advice and meal plans
- Personal food shopping assistance
- Meal prep guidance
- One-to-one personal training sessions / programmes
- Lifestyle guidance
- How to maximise Sculpt’s non-surgical body treatments
